The Young Explorers Program brings together families and passionate field explorers to nurture curiosity and spark a love for discovery in children ages 7–12. Through fun, interactive sessions led by real-world scientists, adventurers, and innovators, young learners dive into the wonders of our planet – and beyond.
From the deepest caves to the coldest poles, from ancient civilizations to the mysteries of space, every session is designed to open a child’s mind, fuel their imagination, and inspire a lifelong spirit of exploration.
Our Mission
The Young Explorers Program aims to:
Nurture Curiosity & Exploration
We help children tap into their natural curiosity through hands-on activities, immersive lectures, and engaging learning adventures.
Build Awareness & Global Understanding
Sessions spotlight past and future expeditions, important scientific issues, diverse environments, and meaningful actions young people can take to make a difference.
Engage Our Community
The program strengthens connections among Explorers Club members, families, and young participants through shared discovery.
Cultivate Tomorrow’s Explorers
By inspiring children early, we plant the seeds for future Explorers Club members, innovators, and global change-makers.
A Legacy of Discovery
Since its launch in 2016, the Young Explorers Program has hosted 35 unforgettable sessions covering topics such as:
- Space exploration
- The Arctic and Antarctic
- Sharks & marine science
- Ancient Egypt
- Dinosaurs
- Greenland’s rare minerals
- Narwhals
- Cave exploration
…and many more.
Our adventures have taken young explorers into the field as well – from digging for dinosaur bones in New Jersey to joining the youngest scientific expedition to the North Pole.
The Program Returns in 2023
We are proud to relaunch the Young Explorers Program this year!
Our first 2023 session featured Richard Garriott on February 26, who delivered an inspiring talk on Curiosity in Action.
More exciting sessions are already being planned – stay tuned for upcoming dates and announcements!
